Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort is quite good but not as good as everybody says

the room was spacious, its design modern and stylish, with fantastic and breathtaking sunset ocean view (we stayed in the over-water villa for three nights); the resort was smaller than expected but big enough to have everything required to serve you right; staff were generally quite friendly; manager was kind to offer us the room I wanted (close to the house reef); small scale activities were organized to keep customers entertained (e.g. traditional Maldivian art & craft where we took home as souvenirs)
